Christmas & New Year at a Spa Hotel in Willingen 2026

How the holiday packages work

Over Christmas and New Year you usually do not book a single room in Willingen but a package with a fixed arrival day and a minimum stay. Almost all offers include half board (breakfast and dinner), plus a festive programme with a buffet on Christmas Eve or a gala on 31 December. Christmas 2026: hotels with a fixed package

Göbel’s Landhotel is the cheapest way in with a fixed price. The Christmas package runs from 21 to 28 December 2026; you can arrive on any day up to 23 December, subject to availability, and book 4–7 nights. Prices start at from € 571 per person in a double room for 4 nights. Included are a breakfast buffet, a set dinner or dinner buffet, a celebration on 24 December with Christmas baking and music, a torchlight walk, a winter hike and use of the 1,000 m² Mountain SPA. Shorter stays are available on request.

The Romantik Hotel Stryckhaus puts more weight on food: arrival is on 23 December 2026, the stay is 4 or 5 nights, from € 784 per person in a double room. The package includes a Christmas buffet on Christmas Eve, a five-course gourmet dinner on Christmas Day and a piano dinner with live music on Boxing Day. The 600 m² spa and sauna area is included.

At the Sporthotel Zum Hohen Eimberg, Christmas with half board costs from € 626 per person for 4 nights in a standard double room, and 5 nights from € 782. The offer starts on 21 December 2026; no arrivals are possible on 25 and 26 December. Evenings bring themed buffets, with programme items such as mulled wine at the fire bowl on 25 December and a bingo afternoon on 26 December. For a single room the hotel charges a supplement of from € 50 per person.

The Sauerland Stern Hotel has published a family programme for Christmas 2026 but no price: presents from Father Christmas and a Christmas buffet on 24 December, a torchlight walk to the Gutshof Itterbach estate on 25 December and a hot chocolate bar on 26 and 28 December. New Year’s Eve 2026/27: the party at your hotel

If you would rather not head out on New Year’s Eve, a hotel package makes sense, as the party takes place in-house.

• Sporthotel Zum Hohen Eimberg: 27 December 2026 to 2 January 2027, 4 or 5 nights with half board from € 684 per person; no arrivals on 31 December. The evening brings a sparkling wine reception, a gala buffet, a live band, the hotel’s own fireworks and a midnight buffet, followed on New Year’s Day by a late breakfast until 12 noon. The hotel asks for a deposit of from € 300 per room, and a 28-day cancellation period applies to the programme.
• Romantik Hotel Stryckhaus: arrival on 28 or 30 December, 4 or 5 nights from € 878 per person. Included are a gala buffet with live music and dancing on 31 December, a guided walk through the Strycktal valley on 30 December and a late breakfast on New Year’s Day.
• Göbel’s Landhotel: 28 December 2026 to 4 January 2027, arrival up to 30 December, 5–7 nights from € 1,051 per person for 5 nights. The New Year’s Eve party with dancing, music and drinks from a set menu is included; the hotel values the ticket at from € 135.

Prices start at from € 125 per person per night in a double room and from € 135 in a single room, including breakfast, dinner, the Sauerland Card (guest card with free bus and train travel) and the SEASONS SPA. The New Year’s Eve party with a four-course menu, drinks from a set menu and live music costs an extra from € 120 per person. Over Christmas, one child up to 12 stays free in the parents’ room. The offer pages give no year or exact dates; you receive a specific offer on request.

The Wellnesshotel Bürgerstuben sells Christmas and New Year as one combined package of 7 or 10 nights with half board, with 5 nights possible over Christmas on request. Included are a gala buffet on Christmas Eve and a New Year’s Eve ball with a live band. So far only the 2025 prices are published (from € 919 per person for 7 nights); ask the hotel for the 2026/27 rates.

Hotels without a published holiday offer

Hotel Hochsauerland 2010, Hotel Fürst von Waldeck, Waldhaus am See, Familotel Sonnenpark, Vis á Vis Parkhotel and Sunday Hotel Willingen have no Christmas or New Year package online. At Hotel Fürst von Waldeck, the Vier Jahreszeiten package is explicitly not bookable over Christmas and New Year. Waldhaus am See is a hotel garni (breakfast only, no restaurant for dinner), so a festive dinner is not to be expected there. If you are flexible about the length of your stay, a direct request to any of these six hotels is worthwhile.

What is on in the village

The Willinger Wintermärchen is the Christmas market in the spa gardens, with stalls, mulled wine, waffles and a stage programme. In 2026 it runs on three weekends: 4–6, 11–13 and 18–20 December, on Fridays and Saturdays from 4 pm to 7 pm and on Sundays from 3 pm to 7 pm. Entry is free. If you arrive at the end of November, the Christmas market in the district of Rattlar takes place on 29 November 2026 from 11 am to 6 pm.

The Lagunen-Erlebnisbad pool complex closes early on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve: it is open from 9 am to 4 pm, with last entry at 2 pm.
