Vis á Vis Parkhotel

The Vis á Vis Parkhotel enjoys a quiet spot on Bergstrasse, about a 10-minute walk from the centre of Willingen. Its 42 rooms in seven categories are spread across the main building and Villa Kramer, built in 1925; apart from two single rooms, all rooms face the hotel garden or lie on the garden side. One thing to know up front: the hotel was called Rüters Parkhotel until 2026 and has traded as the Vis á Vis Parkhotel since, operated by Vis á Vis Hotel GmbH. The 4-star rating is still listed in the official Hotelstars register, there under the old name.

Spa and wellness

The centrepiece is the 15 × 5.5 m indoor pool with a counter-current system (jets create a current you can swim against on the spot). It is joined by four saunas: a Finnish sauna, a Roman steam bath, a sanarium (a mild sauna at around 60 °C) and an infrared cabin, plus experience showers and a fresh-water whirlpool.

Who it suits

• Peace seekers: a garden setting away from the bustle, a classic hotel without an event vibe.
• Swimmers: the counter-current system turns a compact pool into a training pool.
• Guests who prefer a smaller house with 42 rooms to a large resort-style property.
• Less suitable if you expect a sauna landscape of 1,000 m² or more.

Good to know

The hotel is home to the à la carte restaurant Palmengarten with regional cooking and the beer and wine bar Galerie. Villa Kramer houses two apartments as well as meeting rooms.
