Wellnesshotel Bürgerstuben stands on Briloner Strasse in the very centre of Willingen. The family-run hotel with around 40 rooms, apartments and suites rates itself as a 3-star superior property and is the most affordable entry point among the hotels compared here.

Spa and wellness

The Thermaris sauna area comprises three saunas: a Finnish sauna, a steam bath and a bio Swiss pine sauna (a mild bio sauna with Swiss pine wood and a lower temperature). A special feature is the salt grotto, a room with salt on the walls and in the air, designed for inhaling and relaxing; the price list charges from € 8 extra for it, so it is not included in the room rate. Swimming takes place in the indoor pool called “Sauerländer Almschwimmbad”, heated to 29 °C and fitted with an integrated massage pool. Bookable treatments include hot stone massages and 2-hour body and facial programmes.

Prices and booking conditions

The Upland single room (approx. 15 m²) for 1 adult costs from € 68 per room per night, Sunday to Friday, with breakfast. The total consists of the room tariff from € 65 and tourist tax from € 3 per person per night; VAT is included. The 2026 price list excludes weekends in September and October, public holidays and events. Seasonal supplements may apply. No general minimum stay is stated.

Payment is accepted in cash or with usual cards. The hotel terms allow an agreed deposit or security, but no fixed amount is published for this tariff. The price page permits free cancellation only until four weeks before arrival. For unused bed-and-breakfast stays, the terms generally provide for a charge of at least 90%, taking account of resale and saved expenses and allowing guests to demonstrate a lower loss.

Who it suits

• Fans of a central location: shops, restaurants and après-ski are right outside the door.
• Dog owners: dogs by arrangement for from € 15 per night.
• Less suitable if you expect a large sauna landscape or 4-star comfort.

Good to know

The hotel includes the restaurant Bauernstube with regional cooking and the bistro La Vita. The central location means short distances to everything, but at weekends and in the ski season also more bustle around the hotel than in valley locations such as the Stryck valley. Besides classic double rooms, holiday apartments are available as well.
