Göbel’s Landhotel sits on Briloner Strasse in the centre of Willingen, right by the Kurpark (spa park). The hotel carries an official 4-star DEHOGA classification and belongs to the Göbel group, which also runs the Romantik Hotel Stryckhaus in the village. Its focus is on families and spa guests who want shops, restaurants and lifts within walking distance.

Spa and wellness

The Mountain SPA covers around 1,000 m² and holds five heat cabins: a 90 °C Mountain sauna, a 55 °C sound-and-colour-light sauna, a steam sauna, an infrared cabin and a 40 °C brine inhalation grotto. Bookable separately is the cold sauna (a cold chamber used for sessions of only a few minutes), which no other hotel in Willingen offers. There are also an indoor pool heated to 28 °C, a whirlpool, a brine inhalation grotto (a room with salty air, easy on the airways), experience showers, an ice fountain, relaxation rooms with floating loungers and a wellness garden. In the summer months a heated outdoor pool of around 28 °C is open as well, daily from 8am to 6pm and weather permitting. Massages and beauty treatments can be booked, as can a day spa visit (day access without an overnight stay).

Who it suits

Good to know

Prices start from € 164 per night for a double room, which works out at € 82 per person including breakfast. The hotel houses the restaurants Willinger Stuben and Sauerland Stuben plus the bar C’est la Vie. The central location means a lively setting, especially at weekends and in the ski season. Dogs are welcome at € 20 per animal per night, one per room, and are not allowed in the restaurant or the spa. If you prefer peace and quiet, the sister hotel Stryckhaus in the Stryck valley offers an alternative with a year-round outdoor pool.
