No cookies, no tracking on this site
This website does not set any cookies itself and does not use any analytics or tracking services that would require consent. That is why there is no cookie banner.
Hosting and server logs
The site is hosted as a static website with Cloudflare, Inc. (101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). When you visit, Cloudflare processes technically necessary connection data (IP address, date and time, requested URL, user agent) to deliver the site and fend off attacks. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a secure, fast site (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; a data processing agreement with EU standard contractual clauses is in place.
Audience measurement (Cloudflare Web Analytics)
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a cookieless audience measurement tool. It sets no cookies, performs no fingerprinting and builds no individual user profiles; it reports aggregated figures such as page views, referrers and load times. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in understanding our reach (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR); consent is not required, as no information is read from or stored on your device.
Booking links (affiliate)
Our booking links are advertising links leading to Booking.com (Booking.com B.V., Amsterdam, Netherlands) or directly to the respective hotel's website. Only when you click do you leave our site; from that point on, the respective provider processes your data under its own privacy policy. The links do not collect any personal data and do not set any cookies on our site. Should we join affiliate programmes with click tracking in the future, we will explain the specific procedures here.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) (Art. 21). Please use the email address above. You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
