Hotel Fürst von Waldeck is a family-run 3-star superior house (DEHOGA) right in the centre of Willingen at Briloner Straße 1. It is a hotel garni, the German term for a bed-and-breakfast hotel: there is a breakfast buffet but no in-house dinner restaurant. With 28 units (26 double rooms plus 2 apartments), the hotel stays pleasantly small.

Spa and wellness

For a house this size the wellness area is well equipped: indoor pool, sauna, steam bath, infrared cabin (a heat cabin with infrared panels) and an experience shower are open to all guests, while the whirlpool can be used for a fee. In summer, a sunbathing lawn adds outdoor space. Sauna and steam bath normally run from 3pm to 7pm, and the indoor pool is open from 7am to 8pm. The in-house beauty studio Wellsana offers massages and skincare treatments; booking ahead is advisable.

Prices and booking conditions

The small double room (approx. 18–25 m²) for single occupancy costs from € 77 per room per night for 1 adult, Sunday to Friday. Breakfast, pool and sauna access, VAT and tourist tax are included. The total consists of the room tariff from € 74 and tourist tax from € 3 per person per night. The price list is valid from 4 January 2026.

Weekends, Christmas and New Year, carnival, special events and public holidays have minimum stays or separate prices. No general minimum stay is stated for the Sunday-to-Friday tariff. The three-night requirement in the price list applies only to child discounts.

Pay at the hotel in cash or by EC card no later than departure. The 2026 price list and room page allow free cancellation in writing until seven days before arrival; weekends, public holidays and groups of six or more require 28 days. They state 80% for later cancellations and 100% for no-shows. The general terms instead state 90% for later cancellations in section 4.4. Who it suits

• Guests who prefer a personal atmosphere to a large hotel operation
• Light sleepers: many balcony rooms face the quiet garden side
• Guests with dogs, by prior arrangement, from € 10 per dog per day
• Less suitable if you expect half board in the hotel

Good to know

The hotel garni concept means bed and breakfast only, with the kitchen closed in the evening. In practice this is hardly a drawback: the restaurants and cafés of the village centre are on the doorstep. Rooms are non-smoking and come with shower or bath, TV, safe and free Wi-Fi; many have a south-facing balcony.
