Hotel Hochsauerland 2010

Hotel Hochsauerland 2010 stands on a south-facing slope on the edge of Willingen, about a 10-minute walk from the centre and close to the railway station. With 177 rooms in six categories it is one of the largest hotels in the village. The 4-star rating is the hotel’s own claim. If you prefer the bustle of the pedestrian zone in small doses, you get some distance here while staying within walking range.

Spa and wellness

The wellness and sauna area covers around 1,000 m². Its standout feature is the 20 × 10 m indoor pool, large enough for proper lap swimming, unlike most hotel pools. It is joined by a steam bath, an infrared cabin (a heat cabin that works with radiant warmth instead of hot air), saunas, a relaxation room and a gym with treadmills, exercise bikes and strength equipment. During school holidays and winter sports weekends the pool can get busy, which comes with the size of the hotel. Day guests without an overnight stay can book day-spa admission from 10am to 7pm (sauna from noon) for from € 69 per person, including a spa bag and a 20-minute back and neck massage.

Dinner is a daily changing menu or buffet, backed up by a restaurant and the Bodega bar. The centre with its shops and après-ski is about 10 min. on foot, and the Skywalk Willingen suspension bridge is also within easy reach.
